Project Spotlight: Comprehensive Electrical Upgrades in West Ocean City

Scope of Work

Matthew had an extensive list of upgrades and repairs he wanted completed at his West Ocean City, MD home and our technician delivered a custom solution that addressed each item with care and professionalism.

System Improvements and Repairs

Fan Control Issue: Resolved a unique situation where the living room fan remote was also controlling the upstairs master bedroom fan. We properly reset the dip switches in the remotes so each fan now operates independently.

Master Bedroom Enhancements:

Installed four recessed wafer lights in each corner of the ceiling.

Added a new dimmer switch for custom lighting control.

Replaced a malfunctioning receptacle beneath the existing single switch.

Wired the switched receptacle to always be powered and repurposed the switch space for the new dimmer.

Front Bedrooms: Rewired the ceiling fan lights to the first switch location, giving renters a light source as soon as they enter the rooms.

Queen and Basement Bedrooms: Reran the TV receptacles and removed unsafe extension cords that had been installed by the geek squad.

Living Room and Adjacent Room:

Installed four recessed wafer lights on a new dimmer in the main living area.

Installed two additional wafers on a separate dimmer in the adjacent space.

Wired through a closet and into the ceiling to maintain a clean finish.

Kitchen: Replaced a GFCI receptacle that was no longer functioning to restore safe operation.

Basement Bedroom: Installed four wafer lights on a dimmer, pulling power from an existing light over the garage door.

Electrical Safety Upgrades

Quoted and recommended installation of a whole home surge protector.

Provided pricing for two 15-amp AFCI breakers to enhance protection against arc faults.
